Four fading Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town Indiana prom—and the press is involved—they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. Now, Broadway’s brassiest are coming to join the fight and they are ready to kick-ball-change the world.
Roles are open to all genders and ethnicities ages 15 and up.
Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 17th and 18th at Greendale High School Theater 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. Please sign up for a 4 minute audition slot on one of those days and prepare a 32 bar cut of a song not from the show. Provide sheet music for the accompanist. A Capella auditions are discouraged. No Hamilton please!
There will be a dance call on Thursday, April 20th 6:30pm-7:30pm required for all auditionees. Followed by callbacks if necessary 7:30pm-9:30pm. Actors will be notified if they are called back on the evening of April 18th.
If you are unavailable during the audition dates, please contact the director, Ami Majeskie, at amimajeskie@gmail.com and we can work something out!

OUR REHEARSAL PROCESS
At GCT, we value the time of everyone involved in putting on a production.
Auditions are normally held at least a month before rehearsals begin.
Cast members are given their materials and are expected to come to rehearsals well prepared.
We have been able to put together productions with fewer rehearsals than most theaters because cast members understand that if they come prepared, we are able to put in more valuable work in a shorter amount of time. We normally hold no more than three rehearsals per week. All rehearsals are broken down to make sure that if you are called, you are used. We value your time and talents, and do our absolute best to only ask for your attendance when your scenes are being worked on.
Moral of the story: you are choosing to spend your free time with us. So, put in your outside work, come prepared, come on time, challenge yourself and we promise that we will try our hardest to make the time that you devote to our group worthwhile and put on a theatre production we all can be proud of.
